Six Sigma programs are considered to be a part of the Quality Engineering knowledge.

Six Sigma is a registered trademark of Motorola Inc., as it was first developed & used by them to achieve an unbelievable savings of US$17 Billion as of 2006 reports. Today Honeywell International & General Electric (GE introduced by Jack Welch) are the other companies that adopted Six Sigma & practicing it.
